Memorial Signs, Engraved Plaques, Personalised Grave, Garden or Planter.

These signs make a magnificent and long lasting display for a memorial or commemorative plaque. I use locally source oak. They offer a warm and personal touch. Whether for a commerative garden or graveside or even a special building or public location. I am for the best quality finish using only locally sourced materials.

The size may vary slightly but usually around 450mm x 175mm (18" x 7") and 30mm thick.
These plaques are very personal and so usually we agree things by e-mail to make sure you get exactly what you want. 
They can be combined with a planter as shown in the pictures above.
A stake can be added to set the sign in a garden for example. The stake is varnished with three coats and a black protective coats added to the end that goes into  the ground.
The memorial plaques can be for graves, gardens, benches, for outdoors or indoors.
Each sign is hand made by me from a piece of solid oak or spruce and finished to an extremely high standard. I buy the wood from a local supplier who cuts the pieces for me. The size will vary slightly depending on the amount of wording but is usually around 45cm x 17cm.  I plane and sand the wood to get a high quality surface to carry out the CNC carving.  For more details about this see my blogs.
Usually the lettering is in black but it can be any colour or no colour. I will always send you a computer drawing of the sign before proceeding. If there are major changes it may affect the price which we will agree in advance.
The wood is carefully cut to size and then sanded. It is then placed in the CNC machine for the letters, numbers and the outer groove to be cut.  
The sign is then sanded again and the first of 5 to 6 coats of varnish applied.
The sign can be undrilled, drilled or supports added to the back depending on your final application.
Alternatively I can add fully varnished stakes, 
Finally it is wrapped and packed carefully in all recycled packaging (except the black wrapping which I have been unable to replace) and delivered to your door ready to place where you require it and make a wonderful display that will last for years.
