I enjoyed designing and making these Christmas tree decorations from 3mm solid oak offcuts. Then had great fun filming and photographing them for the website and Etsy.
Inspired by a YouTube video showing Star Wars Lego models in flour substituting for snow I tried the same with these Christmas decorations.
Gauging the amount of flour is the tricky bit, going from a light dusting to a blizzard is easy to do!
I chose a wide aperture setting and back lit "set" with the camera on a 2 second timer to avoid camera shake.
The pieces are cut on CNC and need just a little sanding to finish them off and make up the set of 6:

I'll enhance and tweak the deign as I go along but the basic idea will remain the same. Solid wood decorations, lovely smell of fresh oak and all made here in Wales using offcuts.
They are packaged in all recycled packaging.
